![]() ![]() Chances are I probably will not use this function too often but for those who cannot resist the temptation of charging in the model it is comforting to know that the Hi temp shutoff function will shut down the charger if your battery gets hotter than the limit you set it for. This would lead one to think (once again if correct) that they may share the same chip but they do not share the same board?Īgain with trusted multi meter in hand it tracked down to a quality control issue with the temp probe wiring, 1 wire (V Out) was crimped over the insulation, Once sorted it worked like a charm. With my multi meter in hand, i found something of interest in that the posted T/Probe connection for the Imax 6 (if correct) is reversed to the RC power BC6, the GND wire on the BC6 is closest to the power leads with V output in the centre and Vs 5V feed closest to the USB port. Others have posted the similarities between this charger and the Imax B6, so i turned to the related threads for help. I was ready to return the unit and preparing appropriate insults towards the chinese manufacturing industry. Probably looking out for the enviroment.LOL.Īfter realizing you are better off without the book i worked out pretty quick that the temp function did not work. ![]() This charger (RC-Power BC6) is now the upgrade version of the RC-Power 601BC, however it does still come with the same box and instructions.
